Nation's Largest Community Owned Solar Array Goes Live in Rifle, CO

Chalk one up for community owned solar! This is another example of folks coming together to generate clean, renewable power. Holy Cross Energy, the Clean Energy Collective, and Garfield County, Colorado collaborated to install a 1,500 MW solar PV array that will supply electricity for about 350 residents. The solar array was installed at the county airport. Here's to adding more community-powered renewable energy to the grid through cooperation!

  2. There are some great ideas here.

I have just made a basic wind turbine for my house that only cost me about 300 euros and i am now planing a bigger project.

If the average guy can build wind turbines and cut electric bills then can you answer this.....

London is getting ready for the 2012 games this summer and the venue has been transformed but not one wind power
    system in sight.

London gets loads of wind.....(i should know i lived there for 8 years)...if they put up a few wind power systems to generate some clean electricity it would encourage others to follow suit and we could all help the environment.

Come on London... Do Your Bit.
