this because I love the headline. I can't remember a time when a headline had the word, "poop" in it. Kidding aside this is an interesting development by LS9, Inc. They have been feeding sugar to genetically altered bacteria and these bacteria have been pooping diesel fuel. Cool eh?
Argh--"environmentally friendly." No benzene, less sulfur, no drilling--that's good, but they say nothing about reducing CO2 emissions, which to me means the fuel these bacteria produce is the same old same old, greenhouse gas producing stuff. Argh.

Yes. I hear ya'. But even if the carbon emissions are the same, this technology won't be scalable for quit awhile (like the guy from NREL said in the article). And who knows, maybe LS9, Inc. will have invented bacteria that poops hydrogen or clean electricity! :)
